Ángela brings together strategy, design, innovation and human-centered thinking to create the experiences that define our clients’ brand. She is the driving force behind the firm’s brand strategy team using her experience in marketing, communications and academic research to underpin each engagement with insight, analysis and creativity.
A passionate marketing strategist, Ángela has extensive international experience in B2C and B2B brand building. She served as the marketing and strategy lead at a Harrisburg-based creative agency where she led digital marketing campaigns and content strategy for well-known brands. She handled major projects for many household names in the Mid-Atlantic region including utilities, public sector entities, tech startups and a beloved gas and convenience store franchise.
Prior to her agency work, she created a communications department from the ground-up for the Pennsylvania Coalition Against Domestic Violence and led all marketing and public relations efforts. In private sector public relations, she managed PR strategy at an agency providing public relations and marketing campaigns for global luxury brands in the hospitality and entertainment industries, including high-level media placements, thought leadership and crisis management.
She has also served as the assistant press secretary to Pennsylvania Secretary of State, managing the bi-lingual Everyone Votes PA campaign to drive voter turnout across the state.
A devoted student, Ángela has a B.A. in journalism and foreign languages from University of Puerto Rico, an M.A. in communications and is finishing her Ph.D. from Penn State University in American Studies; Gender, Race and Ethnicity; and Media Studies.
She is also active in the professional community as the chair of Diversity, Equity & Inclusion for the Public Relations Society of American and as a member of the American Marketing Society.
